I use Wengers more often than Victorinox SAKs. I like that the regular models are a bit smaller than Victorinox's, that there are different handle scales to choose from (not just colours, but different shapes and materials), the blade profile with a bit more belly, etc. (the large Ranger models are awesome, too). Another reason why I tend to favour Wenger is that Victorinox models available in my country tend to be those with corkscrews and I really prefer the phillips driver.
Anyway, here's my list (in no particular order)
-Wenger EvoGrip S18 (similar to the Victorinox Fieldmaster). The S17, S18 and their Victorinox equivalents (Huntsman and Fieldmaster) have the perfect tool combination for my indoors and outdoors needs, without being too big to carry every day. That's probably why I own several versions of each.
-Victorinox Electrician Plus. I love the feel of alox SAKs, especially those with no keyring attachment. The saw and awl are excellent, and I just love the little sheepfoot blade. The Farmer might be more useful (I always seem to need a can opener when carrying the Electrician or Electrician Plus), but I just enjoy the Electrician more.
-Victorinox Compact. Brilliant urban design, the only flaw I can find in it is that they put that stupid parcel hook on the back instead of an awl. Lots of utility packed into just two layers.
-Victorinox Safari Trooper (this pattern was made by a lot of different companies for the German army). I managed to get half a dozen or so of this from several manufacturers a few years ago, they were very cheap. I like the size and how thin they are, nice tool combination for outdoors use.
-Wenger RangerGrip 78 (basically the same as a Victorinox OHT). I like the Ranger 78 or the OHT for those times when my SAK has to be my main folder (I usually carry a folding or fixed blade knife and a SAK). I tend to favour the Ranger line because I like pushing on the little cross shield to unlock the blade (it's a nice detail), the blades on the one hand opening models come with a plain edge from the factory (I've had to reground some of my one hand opening Vics) and, most of all, because of the extra length on the saw and the way the saw blade is angled. It works better for me than the saw on the OHT (or other large Victorinox models).
A lot of cool models got left out, it's hard to narrow the list down to just five.
