Torsion spring lube?

I use a dab of slick 50 bearing grease that I used in the crank of my mountain bike back when I was into cycling.

You only really have to be careful if you are going into freezing temperatures for an extended period of time. We mix our grease special so that he action will not slow down under extreme cold temeratures. It is a mixture of teflon laced oil and grease.

What do you think about no lube at all? I've been playing around with a completely dry Chive to see if it'll last longer than the previous lubed spring (which had failed). I'm sure you've heard of the method-mindlessly flicking open and closing the blade-over and over, while watching TV.

Ive been using no lube at all on my customized Needs Work. I want to try some kind of lube to see what difference it makes.

I am still stuck on Super Lube. Working for an automotive warehouse
we put that product in stock back in '89. Aerosols, greases, oilers...the works.
Our customers used it to stop squeaking dashes, lube rubber exhaust bushings,
door hinges, window tracks. You name it, they tried it on everything.
It's impervious to saltwater, fuel, harsh chemicals. Even if the 'grease'
washes away there is still a film of Teflon left behind.
Here is what they say:
Water & Saltwater resistant
More reliable lubrication, outlasts petroleum based greases and oils
Remains free flowing in freezing temperatures
Will not stain or harm wood, rubber, leather, plastics, fabrics and paint.
Won't drip, run or evaporate
Repels dirt, dust, grit and grime
Prevents rust and corrosion while reducing friction
Long Lasting
Compatible with conventional lubricants
Reduces friction and wear
Reduces Maintenance

Academy carries a lot of Super Lube products.
You can even buy it direct from them.
I am going to try out their new Dry Lube since it goes on
wet and doesn't leave any grease behind.

Living down south I prefer the grease and have actually packed in some gun grease on a few. Not that much but enough. I find they tend to rattle less with a little more grease vs a little less.

I took apart and cleaned my SG2 Blur and wiped out all of the grease only to find an annoying rattle with the blade open. I took it apart again and put in some Hi-Slip Grease from Sentry and it seems to work really well and no rattle.
