These two tend to find themselves paired together more often than not.
A custom JD Ellis Lanny’s Clip with blue G10 frame, red linen micarta liners with natural canvas micarta scales, black linen micarta bolsters and a Sandvic 12C27 blade
The other constant is of course a Small Plain Jane 21 double lug Sebenza.
A perfect pairing of old school form and modern materials in both blades.
The R2 D2 is hands-down my favorite modern knife.
For such a low buy-in price, you get a quality build, superior action, and decent blade steel... all in the perfect size.

I agree, it is hard to beat for the price, steel and performance. My friend’s tastes run towards fast deployment and the thicker blades in the tactical market. I reset the Rat’s edge to 30 degrees inclusive and finished it with ultra fine stones. I want to steer him towards cutting performance and the flat grind on the Rat should outperform anything he has.
Being mostly a traditionalist myself , I am also bringing my Bolus for him to try. It has the same edge and with the thinner blade stock, hopefully I’ll be planting a seed of interest in traditional knives when he compares how the two perform .
It's been quite a while since I've carried anything with a pocket clip. I like this one fairly well, considering what it is. The old schrade smokes it though.
