No, its traditional. Not as traditional as some but still traditional.

I used to have the older style manix 2 with the hollow ground blade. It had a great action and the heavier blade made it very satisfying to flip. I still have two manix xl's but they don't have quite the same feeling as that old hollow ground manix.

They are. As far as modern knives go these days though I feel no desire for anything other than my benchmade bugout.
