Traditional and Modern pairings

Hey folks! Haven't been around much, and I'm still not really a modern guy. I couldn't pass this fella up though as it seemed too perfect not to pair with my long-time companion, the Peanut.

Hope everyone on the Porch has been well. I need to make a post thanking some people and maybe host a GAW...
Hey Wurrwulf, good to see you. What is that lovely thing on top there? I don't recognize the pattern.

Here's a couple of knifemakers interpretations of fairly well known knives.
Jesper Voxnae's Nessmi from Boker. N690 and supposedly green micarta. Inspired by George Washington Sears (pen name Nessmuk) Nessmuk knife.
Custom Bailey Bradshaw Folding Bowie. Mammoth ivory, one hand opening, S30V with a Sawby Selflock. Not carried often as the top clip is sharpened and that's a no-no in my state.

I love this pairing of a very modern looking traditional fixed blade and a very traditional looking modern folder!

Hey abbydaddy abbydaddy ! That hunk of goodness is a custom from Jerry Thomas that I picked up secondhand. He simply called it a linerlock. Google searches for the maker turn up very little other than he's GA based. It's 4.125" closed and 7" OAL with an S60V blade. It's not perfect, there's a couple imperfections, but I'm happy with it so far.

Halloween is just around the corner folks. Time to think Orange and Black. If you look closely, you'll see that the mark side cover of the Griptilian is orange while the pile side cover is black. I made it out of parts I had laying around.

I have these two lovelies today: a 1930s Remington UMC serpentine jack in jigged bone with a well worn Baby Ruth Candy shield, and a Cliff Parker sole authorship fossil walrus ivory and mosaic Damascus linerlock. Traditional and modern, both classics in their own right.
