I don't have a Damascus blade in my collection . And I have been searching for one to add to my collection. I'm not looking for a custom-made one at this moment . Just something of the shelf so if you have them please share them . Pics model and maker would be nice slip joints lock backs or fixed blade's :)

Nor do I, this should generate some lovely pictures. Good call.

Case has a couple of damascus versions of their own designs. Here's a peanut and wharncliffe mini trapper.

And at this point many of the Case / Tony Bose collaborations have been released in damascus versions. These aren't cheap and can get into lower priced custom territory. Here's the wharncliffe trapper and muskrat.

I don't have pics, but Carl gifted me his Damascus amber bone two blade peanut, which I carry everyday. I was gifted a single blade stag peanut from the 80s with a Damascus blade, I gifted that to my little brother as his "nice" knife, got that from Duane. I bought a Tribal Spear in Damascus and honey amber bone scales. The Tribal Spear and peanut make a great pair.

I have seen quite a few customs with Damascus blades, very nice work. Case has done a Damascus model of most of the Case Bose collaborations and some of their own line. Bear also made some Damascus knives, but their quality is usually miss, rather than hit.

If you're going to go for a custom, go for stainless Damascus. My peanut went through the washing machine once, along with my everpresent Maratac AAA copper. Both survived, but the peanut has a few spots that are treated everyday, and the Maratac turns off on it's own. Tritium inserts prevent me from mailing it back to Maratac to be repaired, but nothing prevents me from sending the peanut to Case for some RnR.

Just keep in mind that the Damascus in use is not stainless. I'm an absent minded fat guy in Maryland though. Riding around in my pockets in this humidity can't be good for H1 steel, let alone the really nice Damascus they buy, I think from Nichols? Same Damascus as what's in CRK knives?

Here's a little one from Boker marked Solingen. It's carbon steel and has some nice contrast. Boker is one to look at.

This Case SBG has Thomas Raindrop Damascus. It was an SFO from a non BF dealer a few years back. I've got a few more from Case but this one has the best contrast I've seen on one of their offerings. I really think they took some pains to make this one nice.

Outside of Master Smith damascus, in my experience, I find that Mike Norris and Damasteel(RWL 34 and PMC 27) are the best performing damascus. Chad Nichols and Devin Thomas also make a myriad of fine damascus. Schrade made a two blade with Mike Norris damascus, in fact, I think Gary has one. Some of the older Boker's have Marcus Balbach damascus, which is VERY good. Hartkopf also uses damascus from Marcus.

I remember Carl telling me my peanut has carbon Damascus, but I'm guessing carbon Damascus on the Tribal Spear I have as well.

Not sure. I really like the Damascus Case and CRK have been using.

As others have already stated the Case line offers quite a few patterns in damascus. From my experience they are not stainless but, they do take a keen edge & hold it pretty well. The Case/Bose ones are a bit more $ but, seem to be more soundly made IMO. Here is a Lannys Clip that I have:

I have a Case 47 stockman in the raindrop Damascus, with burnt cream jigged bone covers, kind of a barnboard jigging pattern. Lovely knife.

I think this is the one you are thinking of, Kris. Schrade - Kious collaboration from 2002. The Damascus is Mike Norris stainless.

Case also made an Amber Bone Damascus series of knives some years back. Here's one I have in a stockman pattern.

That is the one, Gary, thanks for posting it. I have almost picked up one many times, but I don't think it is a pattern that I would carry. RIP Joe, one of the finest knife makers to grace our presence.
