Though I don't have many but I do like lockbacks. When hard use is involved I have to confess I feel a bit more secure knowing the blade most likely will not close on my finger. For me they are most at home in the great outdoors even though I do usually have a sheath knife strapped to my side. Here are some of mine that I use often. I would love to see some pictures of yours.

you are about to have another one to add to that picture :D

Very nice Randy. I really like the Case Copper lock. I have been looking to get one for a good while. I have a few I really enjoy.

Nice collection!

My only traditional lockback is my truck knife, this 1974-1980 Buck 112 Ranger. I love that it doesn't have a nail nick, and for a knife that's probably older than me, it's in fantastic shape. Still cuts (and locks up) like a champ!

WOW JACK!! Went to the mailbox and found the package you sent that was full of knives. I'm speechless I will post some pictures when I get back. Thank you my friend.

Randy-how do you like that Barlow? Been wanting to pick one(maybe 2 ;) ) up for awhile. Need to pull the trigger. Got tapatalk app so might try to actually post some pics later. Everyone's look in' good so far.👍

Just the two for me, but I do enjoy lockbacks in all forms.

I've got three. Buck 110 I've had since 1979, a Case Copperlock, and a Case Mini Copperlock.

Ive only got the one in traditional form, but I do love a good lockback. All but 1 of my Spydercos are lockbacks.

The whole batch were included when Dave sold his business to KSF.
The scales are smooth oiled bone and the blade is supposed to be 1095 steel.
There has been some doubts about the steel, as it doesn't stain as easy as 1095.
Maybe it's D2 I don't know for sure, but initially it was a bear to sharpen.

Mikael

Hahaha...best post in this thread!! Really nice when a giver knows more than a receiver! Well played!!

Top to bottom:

Buck 110 I got ten years ago; Chuck Buck signed it for me (he was a great guy and willing to talk about knives with anyone). Buck 112 which was a Buck Christmas special. Last is my Puma Cub I bought about 30 years ago (Jacaranda wood covers).

(Sorry about the lighting; we have storms coming in here.)
