Hey there everybody! Here’s a new trailing point bowie with a real Mountain Man vibe I just finished up. Hope you like it!

Steel is 5/32” x 1 1/2” in 8670 with professional BOS HT at 60/61. Hand sanded to 1200 grit for a fine satin finish. The edge was about .012” before sharpening and the swedge widens near the tip for extra strength. Balance is just behind the guard.

Dimensions: 11 5/8” OAL, Tip to guard 6 3/4”

The handle is blue “acrylic” from AAO Customs, Osage Orange with G10 spacers and a nice piece of Elk to round it out. The guard and pommel are blued mild steel and the guard has my “Owl’s Ears” for comfortable access to the spine, a real smooth transition. There's enough height to use your thumb to push on the guard or easily climb over onto the spine. The handle feels great in the average sized hand with room to spare and is oiled, buffed and waxed.

The blue acrylic has darker and light swirls in it and is partially translucent. It looks pretty cool in direct sunlight.

Only $270 to your US door, and of course your satisfaction is my only priority. Paypal, check or MO, and the price includes fees and free shipping in the US.

Thanks so much for looking and please feel free to ask anything here or via PM.

No, the false edge is about 25 degrees per side and about .025" thick so even if apexed it wouldn't be something called sharp.

This knife deserve to be in classic western movie. The transitions on the handle are flaweless.Amazing work,John!

Thanks for all the kind compliments and likes everyone, I am pretty stoked how it turned out.
