I was in the kitchen section of one of the big box stores the other day and noticed they have some Tramontina kitchen knives. I was intrigued, seeing as Tramontina machetes have a good reputation. It turns out they have a full line of kitchenware, including several lines of kitchen knives.

My benchmark for kitchen knives is the Victorinox Fibrox Pro line, a good friend gifted me one of their chef's knives over a decade ago that has been really great and will continue to be my primary chef's knife (I don't work in the industry, so home use only).

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with any of the Tramontina kitchen knives?

Thanks in advance!

The Dragon Lady has a drawer full of various size Victorinox Fibrox kitchen knives and would never part with them. She is a pro in the kitchen and has used many different kinds and this has been her favorite for many years. I love her kitchen results and could never criticize her choice. Also the price is very reasonable for these great cutters.

Here is a chef knife set that I'd like to try. but then I might end up trying to make all the great stuff the Dragon Lady makes. I'm spoiled!!!

I can't get the Dragon Lady to try this batch of kitchen knives from Spyderco. She doesn't like the price and won't discus losing her Vicorinox.
