A while back I snagged a Pack that came with its Kifaru Omni belt. This is the waste belt that you can attach several packs/bags to for more versatile use with heavier loads.

Since I had the waste belt when a Kifaru Tailgunner 1 came up for sale at a great price I had to try it. I was not happy at all with my current too small hunting fanny pack so I was stoked that now I would have a 1000ci one!!

Attaching a Monkey Gear Stealth Admin pouch I have MORE than enough for my whitetail hunting needs!

The reason I really wanted an admin pouch of some sort is that each time I killed a deer last season that dang pen was hard to find!! No longer.....Also a plastic map case to store my permission slip as well as tags.

I aslo wanted a small outside pocket to keep my flashlight, wind direction powder, maybe my range finder and any other small stash items such as a place to keep my phone once in tree. The Monkey Gear Stealth Admin pouch will expand to hold more than most admin panels so its the perfect fit for my right now.

Now to the Tailgunner 1 insides.

This is just a day to dump some corn, attach a camera to see what is left of bucks (if horns havent fallen) and just get pumped for next season of course!! SO...the contents may differ some when actually hunting.

Inside top lid mesh pocket has become my favorite Kifaru built in pocket. Not because I use it alot but because it hold items i DONT use alot and out of the way when the pack or bag is opened for normal use. Here I have my knife, trail marking tape, hand warmers and anything else that would just get in my way as the season goes on I wasnt using much.

There is a back inside flap divider that currently has my face mask, bow holder and folding saw out of the way.

Right in front of the back flap is a mesh pocket that I have my "personal" stash of Toilet paper and latex gloves. Simple pocket and I almost forget these items are in my bag!!

I have the main compartment loaded down with a trail camera and bungees.

THere are 2 side front pockets that are perfect for 20oz water bottles but no go on a 32oz nalgene.

Front inside pouch divider will be perfect for my haul para cord.

See.....Plenty of room without the trail camera :)

There are also elastic loops inside for whatever you need it to hold like calls or actually probably my gloves and toboggan(hat).

Anyway - A fanny pack isnt normally my cup of tea but what else can you spin around and have access to in a tree stand? What else doubles as a bow rest when in a tree stand? What else can you carry in front while carring a climber??

With the added shoulder straps this could really be a more comfortable bag and I just might have to pick them up!! Or heck...........just a Scout :)

Gratuitous knife pick of the day :)

Very nice. I got a maxpedition "sabercat versipak" this fall to replace my older, smaller fannypack. So far its been great, hauls a ton of junk and has a lot of organization.

I'll probrably add another small hsgi pouch on the other side for stashing other loose ends maybe.
