Pretty sure it’s a model 5-7”. With an optional lanyard hole, and optional black sheath. Odd that it doesn’t have thumb notches in front of the hilt.

Nice knife

It's likely an early to mid 1970's knife; the thumb notches (standard, as opposed to optional) came soon after, IIRC.

Thanks for the info...seems there are lots of variations in the Randall knives. Was the unmarked blade common ?

They are hand made with no patterns they evolve over the years with no rhyme or reason. No two are alike. I’m not aware of any unmarked blades, but I’m no expert.

Randall doesn't mark the model on their blades if that is what you are asking. Is there a "RANDALL MADE" stamp on the opposite side or is this blade completely sterile?

Welcome aboard.

I think it is a "theater" knife and a one off, or of a specific small lot done with a large Case blade. I don't know the blade model/number but you should post it up in at least these two other location.

Sorry but I don't believe this knife is a one off nor made from a Case blade, as this would be news to me. Randall does not mark their blades with any model #, which is what I believe the OP is referring to as being "unmarked" in his original post. As previously stated, this knife is a model 5 with what looks like a 7" blade, which was made in the 70's as Sheldon stated.

I posted in the wrong thread yesterday , sorry. See your thread in the sword section. I had too many windows and tabs open at once.

Cheers
