I just had that same thought. I'm sure it was the form of this piece, but the first thing that came to mind was Warenski's "King Tut" and "Jewel of the Orient" designs. It would appear that Mr. Branson could build something (has built something?) similar if he put his mind to it. :)

I will say that although the form is ballpark for the Taureg dagger's I've seen that this piece is far nicer than any Taureg piece I've laid eyes on. :)

The details are all amazing. The intricate sheath with all the components just completes the package!
