I wiped my delica's blade with tuf-cloth and I was wondering if I can still prep food with it. I read that it's non-toxic on the packaging that it came in but I don't know if that means I can still use it for food prep. What do you guys think? Thanks

Non-toxic does not mean food safe. Based on the smell of tuf-glide it's not going to taste very pleasant on food. If you want to use your knife for food prep you should use a food safe blade oil.

I use it all the time and use my knives on food, never had a problem though i only give them a quick wipe... use your own judgment i guess

Unless you knew you were going to be stranded on a desert island. I'd just stick with mineral oil.

I doubt that a little will hurt you, but I don't think I'd make a habit of it. While they state it is non-toxic, non-toxic does NOT mean it is good for you, it means its not toxic. :)
As others mentioned, I doubt it would really add a positive flavor to the food. I've certainly never felt an urge to lick or suck on a tuf cloth...but then I don't sniff glue either.:D

Thanks for the feedback guys! I appreciate it. I should have used mineral oil on it instead of tuf-cloth but it's too late now.

Don't know about it being too late. It's not like it forms a permanent bond with the metal. Plus you just used the cloth and not the more concentrated form.
To quote Sentry's site:
"None of Sentry's products are permanent coatings. Each product bonds to the metal surfaces to which it is applied. It will eventually wear off and may be removed using products such as gun solvents or industrial cleaners."

Brake cleaner would probably work well too.
Not sure any of those are necessary in your case.
Give it a good wipe with rubbing alcohol and scrub the blade with hot water and some soap and I would think you'd be good to go.

However, if you're still concerned, just leave things as is. I'm sure you have other kitchen knives. :)
