CheckI'm not aware of any knives made from tungsten carbide, but it is extrremely hard and tough, so you would need diamonds.
Thanks for the link -- I wasn't aware of those. Very interesting. Tungsten carbide is used in drill bits, extremely durable stuff.Only if you strop on 36 grit ceramic sandpaper!

Yup, diamonds work just fine...I use DMT for my touch-ups on my Torino.WValtakis may have some experience with this.

oh 1 more thing is it a 38 degree inclusive edge?Yup, diamonds work just fine...I use DMT for my touch-ups on my Torino.
Couldn't tell you, I freehand.oh 1 more thing is it a 38 degree inclusive edge?
I'm thinking that's what I'll do thanks again all!I used diamond spray and a wooden strop to bring my Sandrin back to shaving sharp. It took a LOT of cardboard to even begin to dull it though. Honestly, I'm still a little worried about truly sharpening it. I'm not the best at freehand sharpening just yet, and I'm not too keen on throwing it on the Edge Pro just yet. With how rarely it needs to be sharpened, I'll probably send it out to a pro if/when it needs to be reprofiled or something.
I'm sureWValtakis ,
REK Knives ,
Gary W. Graley , or any number of the highly skilled sharpeners could help you out with that if you decide to go that route.
