So this weekend in the wilds of central Texas I can across an endangered species. These were quite common when I was a kid but I thought they had gone extinct you'll find them in captivity facilities but rarely in the wild. Photo of tusker for verification.

Spent the weekend with the kids hunting on a family friend's ranch. Great memories. We got 4 so meat for the year. Tusker worked like a whore in a mining camp.

There are a couple of great ones on Scott's site that are on sale. One is pretty much identical to the one that Murman is using. I also have the same model (same steel too? Mine's in A2) and I can vouch for it if you're looking for a seriously heavy-duty 5" blade.
