Two- or three-bladed locking folding knives?

Perhaps 20 years ago I owned a Browning three-bladed locking folding knife. Details I think I remember are:
- Made in Japan
- [Advertised as] 440-C stainless steel blades about 3.5 inches long
- Aluminum body - extremely light overall knife weight (or so it felt to me); smooth enough configuration to be comfortably pocketable
- Rubber or soft scales with molded-in checkering
- Lock releases were a little bit forward of center of blade back
- One clip point blade with partial serrations; one drop point; last blade not recalled except NOT having gut hook
- Extremely easy opening and closing
- Possibly had F. D. T. or some other initials with first letter "F"

I seek a two- or three-bladed locking folding knife of good quality having general purpose blades [at least one a] 3-3.5 inches. Knife is to be carried in a front pocket, not in a pouch or scabbard. Since I am unfamiliar with such knives currently available as NEW or used excellent condition, I have no idea of price range, brands, or models. I have done a modest Internet search and have not clearly identified what I'm looking for.

I'm really "at sea" on this. New or excellent condition is equally acceptable. But New or acceptable what?

Spyderco had the Dyad a dual bladed knife with a plane and serrated blade with a pocket clip.
It’s been discontinued but can be found on the secondary market. Spyderco also has a line of Clipit tools that might fit your needs the blades might be little small but worth a look.
Hope this helps, good luck with yuor hunt.

Imagine a two bladed modern folder, maybe like a Manix handle, but jack knife style, two blades at the same end, liner locks with spydie-holes.

One blade is tough, ground thicker, with a strong tip. The other is a thin, maybe zero ground ffg of high hardness.

That would make a great work knife. I don’t think it exists though.

It was browning’s version of a trapper/Hunter. Mine had a cliip/blunted skinner blade/bone saw. IIRC only 2 of the blades locked and mine was brass with wood scales. Wish I still had it.

I had a two-bladed folding knife from Moore Maker in Texas that locked both blades. It was decent, might be worth a look.

ETA: Just googled it. It was their #3209 Double Lock Trapper.

Smokey Mountain used to have a limited run of Buck 110's that also had an additional 112 DP blade. Unfortunately, I don't see it on their site anymore. (Buck 110-112, pics below)

Aha! Solutions still exist. Many thanks for the information on predominantly used market. And a special thanks for identifying what I owned 20-some-odd years ago. Since I tend to be conservative in what tools I use, that F.D.T. will be among for what I search.

Any additional currently manufactured solutions I welcome. And a question that interests me is: Do other Forum members value such pocketable multibladed locking folding knives as I do?

How much you wanna spend? Rough rider makes some cheap locking multiblade that you get much more than you pay for. Or, the opposite end of the spectrum....

Lockback stockman from ryuichi Kawamura. Main blade is lockback. Secondaries are slip joint.

I am not doing as much sailing as I used to, but the Marlinspike is quite useful. Not crazy about the ball lock (needs 2 fingers) and the thing is a little hefty for such a small knife.

Kershaw 4380 Double Cross Liner Lock. Discontinued, but turn up from time to time on the secondary market. Nice little whittler.676296_56b3ca7c-8855-4144-a250-c157282e0694.jpeg676296_336707b1-1adc-4e4a-b2cd-f0bae0409a74.jpeg 676296_9c216720-6d16-4f8e-a7ff-3d17eecdbec2.jpeg
