This larger knife:
Measures 8 1/2 inches overall with a 4 inch blade. The handle is curly maple that has been professionally stabilized so that it is dishwater safe

7 3/4 inches overall with the blade at 3 3/4 inches

If someone would like to carry one of these in the field I would make a leather scabbard for $10 to go along with the knife; it would be very similar to this one
