Ugly Knife Pics

Wasnt it for (his?) use in some sort of TV survival show …?
Correct me, if Im wrong.

I do remember seeing it on one of those shows. I don't think it was him himself, but rather someone else using it. Might have been one of the "Dual Survival" guys (obviously not Cody, one of the other guys). Might have been another show. That was too long ago. I haven't seen any of those for several years, except for "Dude, You're Screwed", which was running a lot when I was laid up in the hospital last year. It was as entertaining as anything else could be when you're laid up in a hospital. It might have been on that show, but I'm betting not, since usually the "subjects" weren't so prepared that they'd have a big honkin' knife.

I believe I will stick to the Rough Rider Traditional knives ...
Them things in the picture give me both a eye and a head hurt. :(

I'll be avoiding Rough Rider entirely from now on. I've purchased a few traditionals, and it's hard to accuse them of being "cloners" of traditional patterns. I didn't know they made modern knives, and at least some of these are definitely clones (perhaps all). I recognize Todd Begg and ZT designs (possibly designed by custom makers), but I'm hardly an expert on modern folders. It certainly doesn't help that these look like Owsley Stanley puked on them.

Unfortunately, tip down only is a deal breaker for me.

Of course sparklygalaxy sparklygalaxy liked this.

Time to revive this thread. I found an absolute turd.

Only 3/4 of a grand for the Metal Worn TRex. Luckily only one was built.

The proportions make it look like a mini Spyderco Techno sized knife but actually this thing is a turd bigger than bono weighing in at 1000 keurigs.

Check out that custom detailing.

Here are some of their handmade custom beads for a bonus.

That knife’s a beaut. I have a pair of golf pants with a pattern similar to the top 2 pics.

If Medford did a collab with a 3 year old girl, that’s the knife. Maybe more sparkly.

If I had a dime for every time "WTF" left my mouth while seeing some of these... or a penny for every time I asked "why would you make that? and for what price?"

This is too funny. Here is the standard t rex which they made multiples of. Looks like R2D2.

Look at those sharp unchamfered edges.

The one pictured below was actually a one off super custom piece.

Super custom 1 of a kind t rex.

Well they had to slash the price of the super custom to nearly half of the midtech one because it was so ugly no one has bought it!

Those are not "ugly"!
Those are Grotesque!

Damn! Why aren’t these master craftsmen (artists really!) making $800 knuckle thingys? Sumb!tche$ would be getting paid large!

...And now I'm blind.

This looks like something one might design on a dare, on acid. I kind of want to see an action video.

Maybe you can find a video. It is called the Metal Worn T-Rex. Also if you scroll up you will notice it has 3 holes in the blade for the detent ball.

There is an action video! (I don't remember the rules about linking to videos, so for the curious just Google the name + knife.) It snaps out surprisingly well.

Also, the blade is 440C.

And do search the maker's site for the skull nunchucks, which, uh, look like they might be more at home in a nightstand drawer, if you catch my meaning. ;)
