UHC steel/wootz

Hello, I am new to this forum and a novice knifemaker. Would like to know of any experience anyone has had using these Roselli steels. I currently like to make the puukko style knives.

Hi,Beyondmyken,let me be the first to welcome you to Bladeforums!!!!! You'll really like this site,its Great!Another area is Blade disscusion, try it! To your Q, I have done a few nordic knives with the Wootz blade and I think the steel is fantastic, before you make the knife, you might consider reetching the pattern, Ive had to do it a number of times to get the pattern just the way I wanted.Radio Shacks computer board etchent works the best and easiest(2-3 mins) is about the right time. a Great site is www.brisa.multi.fi/ for the blades and info....Ironhorse...
