This was an interesting eBay listing:

Ulster USA 40 Pattern

The 40 is a 3.5" jack knife, this listing with with a turkish clip. I have not seen it with that main blade, only a clip point with long pull. They appear to be jigged Delrin or Bonite. Probably a 60's or 70's vintage. Wish I knew the seller. I'd like to have one of them. Looks like some interesting colors. Buyer got a decent deal on that six pack.

Nice sleek jack knife.

Great looking knives. For that price, I think 6 knives is a pretty good price (I don't know the actual "value" but would happily pay that much for a quality well built knife).

Yes, I think they would have gone for about $30 - $35 if sold separately, and even the box is collectible. I don't see to many Ulsters any more still in the plastic sleeves like that. These would be a nice solid user.

Hal, that's just a fantastic jack right there! Had my eye on those myself, couldn't have swung that price though. Thought they were bone at first glance but I think they're the early plastic variety.

This Standard Ulster 40 I show with the clip blade is early plastic too, from the years when Ulster was calling the stuff Genuine Bonite. From looking at the catalogs on the collectors site, Ulster stopped using cattle bone on the production knives about the same time as Schrade Walden, in the 50's.
