This Ulu was forged to shape from 1/4" stock 5160 steel. The forge marks are left on the blade and only the edge ground - the side are also ground and are smooth, corners rounded. Blade gets edged quenched and should last a lifetime!
The handle is purpleheart which has been sanded smooth and finished with polyurethane.
The blade is secured in the handle with Acraglas (gun-bedding epoxy).
Both blade and handle received a coat of Briwax for protection.
Approx dimensions are:
Length (tip to tip) = 6 inches
Height (top of handle to middle of edge) = 4 inches
Comes with the tin - makes a great holiday gift!
The Ulu is the traditional blade of the Alaskan Inuit people. There are easily a hundred uses for this knife. It is as practical as it gets.
Price is $95 shipped ConUS

Thanks!
