I know these have been out for awhile but I have wanted one since I first saw them.

I just could never justify spending the money

In years past I have studied Kendo, Iaido & Tameshigiri So I am no stranger to what a Bokken or Shinai can do in someone's hands that can use them

I just wasn't convinced about a defensive Umbrella/Walking Stick

I had a bunch of Amex's points so what the hell ...... I ordered one

All I can say is I am pleasantly suprised. This carbon shafted ,steel tipped beauty is the real deal.

Its very nicely made, very stout and besides looking great and being tough it's a great Umbrella

Yes you can stand on it :) even my 200 pounds didn't hurt it

I got the black straight handled model which is quite nice

Very dapper , classy umbrella/walking stick that gives you a nice distance weapon if needed

So for those of you that are interested in these and want to carry an under cover Bokken I hint you would be pleased with one

I've wanted one for a while.
It shouldn't get turned inside out and busted from the wind either.:)

I can honestly say I have never thought to bash a watermelon apart with an umbrella

Nice looking umbrella, very sleek and unassuming

Been using mine for intl. travel, mine's been to 3 continents and back. Never used it for anything but rain, but it feels like it can be banged around a lot. I chose mine with the hook as I can apply Hapkido traps with it.

People don't give you a second look if they see you with an umbrella, even more low-key than a cane.

Mine the straight handled version is 38.5

I don't know the canopy diameter but its larger than a standard and slightly smaller than a golf umbrella

Perfect for what I've done in Martial arts, and the version with the crook would be great for our Cane techniques in Kung Fu... I may have to get one.

I would like one but it hardly rains here, maybe if I still lived in Texas. Nonetheless it looks pretty awesome.
