He had been relased to in home hospice care from St. Mary's earlier. Hospice staff were on hand when he passed about 4 PM Pacific time today, Monday March 28th.

Yangdu called me while he was still waiting to be picked up. She said she'd call again later. When she does, I'll have more information.

She is very distraught at this time as she very rightfully should be.

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet:
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.

I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.

I'm glad he is out of pain, but what a loss!

Not just for the Cantina, but for those whose lives he touched personally, including you, Rusty, as well as the literally hundreds of folks in Nepal, and throughout the internet, with his integrity and resolve for tolerance, respect and forbearance.

I feel blessed to have had him touch my life. He will be a part of who I am for the rest of my life.

If there is anything I can do to help, Rusty, please let me know...either for H.I., Yangdu, or you (who are suffering more than you have ever let on.)

Be gentle with yourself.

Happy Trails, Bill Martino, thank you for being in my life.

I knew this day would be coming sooner than later.:(

My heart is on the ground! :(
Smoke going up for the start of Uncle Bill's Star Journey and for Yangdu and all the rest left behind.

Little Bro, if there is anything in my power that I can do and you need done please ask.

Thanks Rusty...

I am glad Bill is no longer suffering...he deserved to move on peacefully. I hope to meet him again one day.

Blessings to Yangdu...smoke and song tonight for everyone.

.

Fly away straight, Bill, fly away straight.

God Bless you, God Keep you.

Fair winds and following seas to an old sailor as he begins his new voyage.
Smoke and prayers for Yangdu. Rusty, thank you for all that you do and have done for all of us.

For once, I am at a loss for words.....

I'm glad he is no longer in pain and equally sad for our loss.

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the hills, from the lake,
From the skies.
All is well, safely rest,
God is nigh.

Bill made his peace beforehand, as he often stated. Now he is truly at peace.
Yangdu needs all the support we may give her.

He will be sorely missed.

At least he's not suffering any more. Shipmate, rest your oars.

Poor Yangdu. My heart goes out to her.

Thanks for keeping us up to date over the last few weeks, Rusty. I can only imagine the pain that you're feeling right now as well and my heart goes out to you too.

I'm very sad. Bless you all, wishing for a happy journey for UB and blessings for Yangdu. Nothing to say. Just very sad.
