Based on forum posts, online photos and websites, and eBay sales it seems there is a significant number of people who collect and accumulate original Old Timer knives. Are there many comparable collectors of USA-made UH knives? Does anyone here specifically collect Uncle Henry knives, or specifically collect UH knives? Why or why not?

Myself, I have a large collection of Old Timer knives but only a mild interest in Schrade knives in general, and even less interest in Uncle Henry models.

So what gives? Why not more interest in UH? Or perhaps there is? UH collectors, now's your chance to speak up. :)

I like both Uncle Henry and Old Timer knives. Old Timers go back a bit further. I especially like the Schrade Walden versions of both series.

I get excited over both. Being an old mechanic, I am partial to the Old Timers, more of a working mans knife. Now that I am working the office, I carry my grandad's 897UH. Basically anything before the close in 2004, I'm game. Randy

I collect anything made by Schrade between 1960 and 2004.
Like Bob the Old Timer knives make up a large part of my collection.
The 4" knives, like the 8OTs have always been the main part of my collection.
I also have about eight Buck 301s, made by Schrade in the mid 1960's. Ken

I'll collect any and all Schrade USA knives and products prior to 2004 closing. Including all the affiliated and ancillary Schrade family of companies. For a good price of course.

i collect them all also but the majority of my collection after counting them appears to be UH. one reason is that i am partial to all lock back blades and the LB7's in particular.

I have a number of 885UHs and two 886UHs. The 886UH were made by Camilus.
The 885 [lower/left] is the oldest Uncle Henry I have in my collection, it has miled liners...Ken.

Hey Bob, I collect UH's big time. Recently I was able to purchase the original trade mark papers from a friend at canal street(was up there helping move out). Dated 1966. I also have been able to to accumulate a few proto types ( thanx Tom). Can post some pics if anyone is interested.

almost easier to find these knives than to post the pics! Here you go, an 897 with a punch. a 285 with fish blade. a single blade 885 and an 866 proto. a look inside the mind of a serial uncle henry collector. I have a bunch more neat uh's and paperwork.
