I really like the CRKT Crossbones, but I refuse to carry a knife that's not actually made in the USA. I'm looking for a lightweight longer EDC folder like the Crossbones, and I'm looking to stay under $300. Any suggestions?

Benchmade Fact?
That's actually a decent suggestion. One of the reviews mentions frayed pocket lips due to the abrasive aluminum. That's part of the reason I'm looking for something lighter as my heavier knives have ruined more than one pair of pants.

If it makes you feel better, buying from an American dealer is putting money in his pocket. Not everything is so black and white

The shot show (IIRC) version has silver twill scales that are smooth:

Not sure if this fits your criteria but there’s the ZT707, which seems similar.... Japanese owned company KAI, but made in the USA.
