Use small drill bits with HF drill press

The chuck in the link appears to only accept 3/32 bits such as dremal bits. I sure wouldn't buy a new too just to go 1/64 smaller. Maybe look into a pin vise or salvage the chuck and spindle from an old hand drill and chuck it into the existing chuck.
Other wise, check the owners manual for the proper Morris tapper. You can buy a smaller or better drill chuck and the proper Morris taper to Jacobs taper adaptor.

He means "Morse taper" and is right, find out what taper/means of attachment your press uses, then buy a new chuck matching that that will go down to 0".

Ditto on the hand drill chuck, too. I tore one out of a broken hole hawg and can chuck it into my big jacobs chuck if I want. It works well.

I'm assuming you have the benchtop press. HF says it has an MT2 taper. Find a chuck that will work, it will have a Jacobs taper number, get a drill chuck arbor that's MT2 on top, and whatever Jacobs taper you need for the chuck on bottom.

For instance, here's a page at Grizzly that should have everything you need. (SB1370 Drill Chuck 1/32" - 1/2" JT33, SB1454 Drill Chuck Arbor MT2/JT33).

Okay got it. I got a million old drills laying around so I think It'd be quicker to just chuck up one of the hand drill chucks. Thanks guys!

I use the drill adapter that you show in the picture, I think they are mistaking the size of drill it will accept 0.01 to 0.1 drills, these work well just make sure you get the bit in straight. It comes with 4 sizes of collects to fit most small bits.

$50 ish gets you a keyless drill chuck from Enco.
Their brand...
It's half the price of the press, but they are pretty nice.

I have a couple here.
No sense spending high dollar for a chuck to go in an inexpensive press.

I've used 1/16 bits in the HF small 5 speed bench top drill press.

I have a small chuck that is made to go in a quick change adapter for cordless drills, it has a 1/4 inch hex shank on the back with detents for the holder. I used in in the chuck on my metal lathe for holding a #60 wire drill for center drilling a micro vacuum fitting I made. I think bosch makes it, and it's available at Lowes
