Hi all,

I'm in China where several factories manufactures copies of USM9 bayonets. I was wondering, who is the original "author" of this knife? who owns the right to make it? which cutlery used to make M9 for the army?

Thank you your replies,
Guillaume

Phobis made the design and i was told that Buck manufactured them. That would figure since the steel was 425m. The blade worked well for me in the army. No rust and easy to sharpen. Everything else about it sucked.

In China the Xian-feng machinery factory is regarded as the "official" M9 copy maker and is said to have the best quality. And in fact it's the only fatory that does mass productions. The product is for export. The M9 is forbidden to be sold in China by the Public Security Policies, as it's regarded as illegal weapon here. But it's easy to find the real Xian-feng made M9 in the grey market. And due to the limitted numbers available, the price is generally around $100.
