  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

i picked up one this weekend at a estate sale, for 2 bucks:jerkit: , it was a Vaughn "roofing hatchet", someone had installed a LONG handle on it over the years, is this a "decent hatchet"?????

Vaughn had what they called 'supersteel' on the market. Many of us who travailed with our hands for a living liked the quality of such a tool, and the name meant that you had an axe that you could rely on to give good performance. Of course, that was during a time when 'Made in USA' truly meant something. Yes, it is a decent hatchet.

dido i use to use a framing ax back in the day now most carpenters use a framing hammer and vaugn was a decent ax in the day i dont no if there any good now but if you have a old one im talking 60s 70s it is good
