I recently saw this and am seriously considering ordering one... If nothing else just for the sweetass wooden box it arrives in!

By all accounts, this system seems to be better and more versatile then most... I'd love to hear if anyone has one??

Enjoy!

I love Wranglerstar's channel, saw this vid when it came out and was really impressed. Looks like a great sharpening kit!

If I didn't sharpen by hand on water stones, I wouldn't think twice about buying one.

Go for it Lawrie!

Nice looking system and the price seems pretty fair for the machining involved.
Is it me or do those look like EdgePro stones?

Awesome! I want one! whowhatwherewhenhow???? I know the why, its the same reason I have wayyy too many knives. Its beautiful and precise. I need one! Great video and a really fun time admiring all the work!

The machining and design look awesome. :D

Has anybody figured out, what is the maximum thickness of knife this thing will clamp? The jaws look narrow on the video. The heavy duty conical clamp says it is recommended for up to a 3.5mm knife, the others don't seem to say. I don't think I own a Busse 3.5mm or less in thickness.

As he said, he is just learning the system, but those knives at the end of the video don't look super sharp to me. ;)

He sharpened a butterknife in a later video with this system and shaved with it

Nice system...thanks for sharing. Now he just needs to add a flexible adapter for convex edges.

GOOD FOR YOU!

Please let me know how it goes because I'm really really keen also.

Based on the info I can find this system can not handle the average Busse knife. The double claps are used for the longer knives, and the two available double camps max out at 2.5 mm (0.98in) and 3.5mm (.137in) thickness... What model are you guys planning to sharpen? There is a something called a "single clamp with extension plates" that will supposedly accommodate up to a 7mm spine thickness, which will hold some smaller Busses, but again the double clamp seems to be superior for knives of substantial length. Most of the videos look like they demo on thin Kitchen knives and pocket knives. If I have misunderstood something let me know because otherwise it seems really well made. Maybe he can machine 0.32 in. double Busse clamp attachment for the Battle Mistresses?

Yikes, $400? I could have sworn a little while ago it was $250. For that much I'll continue to use my ceramic rod and worksharp for sharpening
