I bought the Svord boning knife, their kiwi class, and knife looked pretty good on pictures ,well made and with pretty good but rough finish.Service was good and i got knife in few days. What i got out of box was real disappointment, for about $80us knife. The blade was ground very poorly first straight stock to edge ,then some convex primary edge on belt sander again uneven on both sides.Handle was some cheap plastic, but full of mud or some type of glue that i had to clean myself, and the tip on knife was very rounded on belt sander, from factory ,not at al like on pictures on website that it shows. All in all the knife and the sheath look like an amateur backyard project, nothing more, nothing less,i know svord knives are little rough from factory, but what I got was unacceptable by all means.Am in process of returning this ,but still cant understand how someone that charges this amount of money for a knife sells this without any quality control,or simply dont care. All replies are welcome!

I had the same question, as I purchased a Von Temsky Bowie with issues and sent it back. I'm not sure who is making these must be rookies or new hires. I actually sent pics to a custom knife maker with the problems and he suggested I send it back because of the improper work done to it.
I'd definitely send it back and have someone look the next one over before shipping. That's what I did but the dealer said all 6 of the bowies he had in stock looked like the one I purchased so I still don't have a nice one like all the pics show of them. The bowie was more than twice the price of your knife also, so it's not just the less costly blades being affected at their shop.

I sent it back,i dont know who makes these, but id be able to make same if not better knife than garbage that i got....bought buck 119 yesterday, cheaper than this crap and fit ,balance, sheath, finish, grinds and quality is 10x better .

Thx for reply,i like deluxe bowie and was doing to try it....as its deluxe line with better fit and finish, this company turned me off immediatelly, selling garbage for high prices....will try the dealer to hand pick one for me if theyre any different.

Don't get me wrong the the wenge wood handles were beautiful but the 11" bowie blade had some tempering issues. I'd like to have another one like in the picture but that's about it maybe one of Svord's golocks.

for the price they charge its unacceptable.....its made by amateurs ...with backyard tools it seems....im sure they can make good knife, bit what i got waa garbage, period, tip so rounded off lol ridiculous, maybe heat treat is ok bit whatever,i think for way less tou can get way better knife

Never saw a Svord that couldn't have been called crude. They are cheap, but there are better made cheap knives.

they arent so cheap either....theres many companies that nake way better knives for way less or in same price range

i guess you have to pick a svord yourself the one that has least imperfections,i got peasant knife from dealer when i returned the knife, and the peasant knife was almost perfect, put of box,so ill just tell them next time to pick one that has best fit and finish

Sounds like quality has fallen dramatically in recent times... I've purchased a few and handled many Svord knives. They are utilitarian but were decently made... sounds like increased their output but lowered the standards which is a shame.

i got peasant knife that is very good...but boning knife was terrible, with maybe half inch tip rounded off on grinder....and terrible grind and handle, dont know about their luxury line...bit theyre not so inexpensive
