Work colleague from years ago and FaceBook friend told me about a online knife/gear company her husband had started, Southblade.com in Mebane, NC. I was in the market for a few gifts for Christmas so I decided to give it a try. I have to say I was very, very pleased with my entire experience. Very personal, prompt service!

The website was very well laid out and easy to navigate. Selection was excellent and ordering was easy. Shipping was free (>$99) and prices seem competitive. I was personally notified in less than 8 hrs that two of the items were low on availability and might be delayed a few days. Notification followed that third item was being shipped immediately, and USPS tracking number was supplied. That item, a Spyderco Chapparal, arrived in two days in excellent shape...very well packaged. I received notice the same day, automated and a personal email, that the other two items were shipping out with tracking number included. The Gerber multitool and a Spyderco UK Pen Knife arrived two days later in perfect condition.

I have had good and bad experiences with online retailers, but this has to be one of the best. I will definitely be shopping here again. Most pleased with personal service, prompt shipping, and excellent communication. I would defiantly recommended this site to others.

*I have no personal or financial ties to this retailer other than as stated.*

I know I'm really necroing a thread here. I watched a Cutlerylover review of the Anso Solo where he mentions that he was sent his knife by the South Blade store. He includes a warning that it is no longer available as the store has moved to only selling products made in the USA. I followed the link and the store has been replaced with a BLOG FOR MEXICAN FOOD!! I'm a supporter of USA industry but a bigger supporter of hilarious irony.
