Thought yall might like to see my newest project. I got too many darts and stuff to just stuff in a tube or something so I had to figure a way to mount them on the wall. It had to be easy to grab a dozen of them quickly and go practice and the fletching needed to be spread out so that didnt get messed up. So here goes. I had some floor tile scraps so that will have to work somehow.

This looks like a great start but to get more out of it I think ill make it double stacked.
My little girl dog helped me all the way to the end:D.

This will give me 25 slots to put stuff in. Theres the bottom side ready to get cut out.

Next I clamped a rail to the back for wall mounting.

There it is mounted and loaded.

For the bottom board I drilled some holes to pass the darts through so they didnt fall out of the slots if bumped by dog tails etc.

Some more holes for storing my fishing and hunting foreshafts.

I think ill put another board just above floor level to get them off the floor. My wife might not like it come cleaning time? Hope she dont need to plug the vac in there? Hmmm? Anyway thats what I got so far! Enjoy!

Lot of work and labor in that but looks like a fine system. I agree, add a board to get them off the floor, make it easier to run the broom underneath.

Don't worry none on that outlet, has to be another someplace.

Well done.

Ol' Bookie be impressed, Kamidog! You're a man after my own heart. Very nice design.

Ha! Looks all purdy and stuff but I got to bring home some meat now er it dont mean anything eh?
George! Thats how I wanted to do the top part with some slide in clips or something. Im thinking about putting in some felt pads to keep them from falling out. I have a strap across them right now.
Bawanna: Neanderthal:D

Man that looks sweet brother, your gear looks amazing, the different darts are really cool looking, your knapping skill is killer. is the snake wrap on the one atlatl coral??

A little foam rubber in them gaps with a slit would keep them nicely.

Glad yall like it! Yep Pugs that is a coral snake. Id've put your Canebreak up there for the shot but I loaned it out to a friend till I could make him one. He saw me playing at the last Knap-in and had to have one so I got him started.

Its was this poor fella. He was apparently in the middle of his lunch eating a garter snake when an unsuspecting car came down the road and cut it short.

It has some road rash and I had to work around that but it came out pretty good anyway.

Bawanna: Thats a great idea. Maybe pipe insulation with the sticky sides? They make them furniture pads that go on the bottom of chair and table feet so they dont scratch the floor so I was going to try to find some small ones about 1/2" round or square and stick them in the slot. Most are either too large or too thin. My wife had a few of them and i tried it on one slot and works great. I just need 48 more:confused:
