Thanks to those who served in the past, for they enabled what we have today.

Thanks to those serving today, for they help preserve and defend what we have from those who would destroy and dismantle it.

Thanks to those who will serve in the future, for they will protect and defend that which will come from what we are.

To all my fellow Veterans and all who support, thank you and God bless. Taking the Military Oath of Service is a defining moment and a common bond we share that will never die.

To the Vet on this forum - I am so thankful for all you have sacrificed to defend our magnificent country. Have a wonderful day and know that we are appreciative for all you have done 365 days a year. We just make sure to be more vocal about it on this special day.

A bunch of friends and me back in the late 1980’s. At the time, I was a LTJG on the USS IOWA. We were cruising the Straights of Hormuz escorting tankers past the Iranians. That is the Midway behind us. I don’t think one of the ships shown is still commissioned...

There has been so much happen since then, it is difficult to comprehend. My USNA classmates that are still in are flag officers. Tough to imagine guys that I was out drinking with back then are VADMs and MGENs now.

Huge respect and thanks to modern era vets - those that have spent their time in the sandbox. You all have sacrificed more than I can imagine.
