Victorinox Cybertool Bits

The super sized SAKs (XLT/XAVT) have 2 bit drivers and 2 bit holders, with added double sided bits that you don’t get with the Cybertools.

Does anyone know what the other bit sizes are, and where they can be purchased?

I have 4mm magnets to use in my Cybertools with standard micro bits, so I can use any bit out there…but I’d really like to obtain the complete Victorinox set if possible.

Thanks…

Folks in the multi-tools sub forum are probably experts on this, you might want to click "report" and ask to have this thread moved there.

Thank you.

I’ve found places to buy the ones that come with the Cybertool, but I can’t find where the others are sold. Until now, I didn’t even know what sizes they were:

Hex 2 / 2.5 mm
Hex 1.2 / 1.5 mm
Torx #6 / #8
Slotted 3x1 / 4x1

I am apparently too dumb to figure out how to direct message you here, but I’d appreciate it if you could send me a list of the suppliers that you know.

Okay, I found one place that has the more rare bits called Country Knives out of PA, but it they’re charging $8 per bit. DLT has the “standard” ones for $4 each. I’ll pay $8 if I have to I guess, but that seems crazy.

Thank you.

Looks like I need to do a little more research now, the two sites I thought had them, no longer carry them. I'll see what I can find, I don't give up easily

Ugh…they want $10 shipping as well.

Great to see this topic. I went on a similar search several months ago but ultimately gave up and forgot about it. :D

This is really the only one I care about since T6 and T8 are the two of the most common sizes found on knives and such.

Yeah I recall finding out the same thing and being like "nope". 🤣

Would love to see a better source for these less common bits.

Another option would be to find a set of double sided 4mm bits from another manufacturer, but I never found any with ball detents. I know people have managed to find some in the past but my own search didn't turn up anything.

I can’t find any other 4mm bits with ball detents, but…

A 4mm neodymium magnet will fit in the driver and allow the use of any single sided 4mm bits. I bought a stack of 50 4mm x 2mm from Apex magnets for like $9, and I either use 1 or 2 of them (depending on the bit -some work better with 2 magnets). The bits are super secure like this.

The stack of 50 comes in handy to remove the magnets from the bottom of the driver when you don’t want them, but you could just leave them in place all the time, and still be able to use the Victorinox bits (they won’t go deep enough for the bal detent to click in, but the magnets work just as well for them).

The drive still has enough clearance to close normally with up to two magnets and a Victorinox bit installed.

But - I just want to have the Victorinox bits in my arsenal, and I’m having a real problem justifying spending over $40 for 4 bits.

SAKWiki has a bit driver page listing all the bits.

The dead SwissBianco forum in the Archives has an informative thread here:

To save you time searching, Lee Valley's set of nineteen 4mm hex ball detent bits is no longer listened in their online catalog.
