I never got why the electrician has 3 blades. Main blade and electrician blade make sense, but the sickle blade is overkill. I use both the can opener (for phillips screws) and awl (for many things, including making holes) far more for "electrical" tasks than I would ever use a third blade...

The Electrician Duo was a limited run made specifically for enthusiasts and collectors, as are many special models. They aren't really meant to be practical since the original base models were meant for that. The standard Electrician is still in production for now. Although it likely won't be for much longer.

Personally, I like the Electrician Duo for the same reason someone would like a three-blade traditional. I like having a standard drop point, a sheeps foot, and a hawk bill blade. That, in conjunction with a cap lifter/flat driver is actually quite useful. It's not the piece I carry all the time, but I like using it. That's why I got an extra one.

It's also kind of cool that due to the limited nature of these, I'm sitting on [probably], $600 just between the three of mine. :D

Anyway, Halloween is also my favorite holiday and I find it (along with my actual EDC) very festive. :)
