Found on rounds today...just too clean to pass up. All blades in minty condition.
Reamer is razor sharp. Has both toothpick and tweezers .I know, not very old,
but, just a solid open/close snap all around. Kind of like owning a "Buck" ... just
nice to have. I may have overpaid (by some standards...but, I wanted it...and,
don't often find them "used" this serviceable). $15.00.

From what I can determine Ulma Stromberg (long history) is/was involved in
manuf. of electromechanical industrial devices. I remember back in the 90's I
would attend National Medical Conferences and the sales reps would hand these
SAK's out to any that wanted one.... those days are gone.

This simple tool just makes me smile. (also picked a Nicholson USA mill bastard
file with wood handle).

Any SAK fans with recent finds here ?

I don't think you really overpaid for this Victorinox tinker, but they are only $20 brand new so maybe you could have paid a little less.
$15 is fair for a like new user.
No pick ups, but I did recently find a couple that I wish i picked up.
One was a translucent red Vic classic , and the other a similar Wenger model that doesn't have the tweezer and toothpick.
I kind of wish now I had picked them up but the price wasn't right on them.

Btw if I'm not mistaken officier Suisse means it shares lineage to the old officer model.

Thanks for the info HnS... I was totally unaware of current market value on the
venerable SAK's. I will now try to educate myself as to the various models and
some of the history.
Most of the SAK's I've come across recently have missing bits, broken blades, bent
blades, or carved up scales (saw one today that the proud owner carved his name
into both scales). So, when I came across a "clean" tool I jumped.
When I was a kid (50 +) years ago we carried these with us to school. I'm guessing
that is frowned upon these days.
Cannot find the Officier Suisse in the current line-up on the web page... but
do see a "Cadet".

This knife is the tinker, and officier Suisse is a stamp many Victorinox models have on the back.
My tinker and recruit both have it on the back, I've heard some knives will have the umbrella looking symbol and some don't but the significance I couldn't say.

The 'umbrella' symbol is a crossbow.

Wilhelm Tell/William Tell and all that.

You are correct HnS...this model is a "Tinker". Thanks. I'm going to keep
my eyes open for additional good quality / condition SAK's. They make great
gifts for those MacGyver's amongst us.

If you ever don't know a model you pick up or are looking at you can check here http://www.sakwiki.com/
I've heard there are a few very rare or obscure models they don't list, but all the likely stuff is there.

Appreciate the link. Thank you .
I failed to mention ... both blades really sharp. I’m impressed.

Very cool website. I searched for a particular model I have (the Secretary) and it popped up right a way. BTW, that knife might just be the perfect office work knife- very slim and effective.

While we're on the subject, do SAK's magically reproduce somehow? I've got probably six or seven kicking around somewhere, but I only remember buying two of them. How do they do that?
