Nice review. I've got those stay glow scales on a Huntsman and a Classic, they work really great.

I have my 125th anniversary in my pocket all the time; I love it! Nice review my friend

Thank you for this great review! I have that knife, with the standart red scales and it fits in the 1st emergency kit in my car. I think I should take it out there and EDC it, again.

Kind regards

Just ordered one of these for edc. It will be my first sak in 22 years(had one when I was 10).

The climber looks like the best option for me in terms of the tools offered and the weight. I currently carry a spyderco Superleaf which is around 4.5 ounces.

Great review.

Nicely done.

Have you ever used the key ring? If not, I can recommend taking the ring off and grinding the nub down. It becomes a bit more comfortable in the pocket compared to stock.

Also the other knife you're referring to is the Super Tinker, not the Tinker. ;)

The T-Phillips on the Tinker series can apply more torque than the small screwdriver tip to a Phillips screw, and with less danger of closing on the finger.

I will have to try the corkscrew on one is my SAKs next time I get a knot in something.

Great choice. The Climber has a high density of tools and I think for most people it has the tools that are most often needed in daily life.

25 bucks? you lucky bastard. here in switzerland (!), you pay 43 CHF which is 48 USD  on the other hand - even a cashier or mcdonalds employee makes around 35 USD an hour, and for a product which lasts a lifetime it's still ridiculously cheap.

You pay 43 CHF for a Climber in Switzerland?? That's 35 euros. Here in the Netherlands they cost about 22 euros (27 CHF / $29).

I received my climber today. I noticed that as I open the bottle opener tool, the awl and key ring holder on the other side will come out slightly due to the bottle opener pushing against it as it opens. When the bottle opener is open fully, then the awl and key ring holder fall back into place. Just wondering if this is common or do I have a defective model?

I have a sapphire Climber that I like very much. Nice video!

How did you grind down the nub, leaving the remnant smooth? My Climber's good as is, but I'd like to do this with my Small Tinker.

(Feel free to PM me if this veers too far off-topic. Thanks!)

that's exactly how it's supposed to be. the tools are used to lock eachother in the right position.

Cool. Thanks man.

Also. I guess the slight up and down play of the bottle opener is normal due to its positioning on the knife.

Great review! Very well done.

I have a silvertech climber, and it DOES have a hole for a needle at the base of the corkscrew. Must be the glo scales that doesn't have them.

One really has to have patience to sew with a corkscrew. ;)

Thanks Arson! great video. I really enjoyed it. The stayglow scales are now a possibile option on my next SAK!
