Like the design and both look exactly the same. Is one just sold through Blue Ridge the the other available anywhere?

From what I've read and understand, the Vindicator is like a mini version of the Patriot. Similar to the CQC-8 and the Horseman.

They are both different. Blade profile is different. Handle feel is very different. I want to say the Vindicator is heavier than the Patriot (weight). Here is a picture I posted in the Vindicator thread.

Very informative pic rayster, thank you. That's the first pic I've ever seen of the both of them next to each other. Looking at it now the Vindicator looks more like the CQC-11 than the Patriot.

Feel is very different. I really loved the Patriots blade but didn't like the grip at all. I handled a Vindicator last week and couldn't get over how much different it felt even though it looked very similar. Very shaking indeed to see how little "looks" effect "feel". I have owned a Patriot, still own an Eleven, and I can say conclusively that for OM's paws the Vindicator is the better fit.

Well the acid test is how it fells in your personal hand, thus my choice of a CQC-7, over the Commander for my 1st. Emerson.

This weekend I am going to a gun show where one of the expected vendor normally has a fair selection of Emerson's. Going to feel up the Commander again, as I have funds for Emerson number two.

Thank you for the pics and clarification. I'm going to have to search them out local to get a feel for which model feels best.
Cheers,
Hawk

Do it!

I like the handle on the Vindicator better than the Patriot, it fit my hand better.

I'll say it again, that's my next knife!

The grip is totally different between the two although they certainly look similar.

After trying both, I MUCH prefer the Patriot grip (it just fills my hand a lot better).

I was planning on buying the Vindicator, but a buddy of mine bought one and after playing with it for a while I really didn't like it at all. I don't really like the look of it, it looks out of proportion to me, with the handle being to big/bulky to go along with that blade. I have seen this in a few other Emerson models and although I don't like it, other people love that look so whatever turns you on I guess.

I know one thing, it was sharp as hell out of the box. He was flipping it open after taking it apart & cleaning/lubing it etc. & he lost his grip on it. Stupidly trying to catch it out of the air it gave him a NASTY cut LOL.

That Nath bolsterlock is insane.

I agree, he did an awesome job with it.

I saw a knife on his facebook page that had that same setup & just knew I had to have NATH do that for me. It was a little more expensive than his thicker liner lock setup (because of the thicker TI slab needed to make it) but it was worth every penny IMHO.
