Please take a look at this new poll, which covers more knives:

I carry an Alox Farmer daily no matter what else I carry. I used to carry an Alox Pioneer X, but find I actually use the saw on the Farmer far more than the scissors on the Pioneer X.

I keep a Rambler on my key chain, so that's an automatic vote. If I'm wearing pants, I've got my keys on me, and hence, the Rambler. But I seldom have only that on me.

My other current vote would be for something not on the menu. I like the Recruit. With it's 3.3 inch length, it disappears in the pocket. It is also lighter than pretty much any of the others. (Handy with shorts.)
>Two blades. One short and pointy, other larger. The small blade is good for poking holes in packaging.
>screwdriver/ bottle opener. Good for minor prying.
>Can opener. Good for when the item to be pried does not have an opening large enough to get the screwdriver blade it. The can opener is thin and semi-sharp.

And that's all I generally need.

I've carried the Tinker, the Camper, the Pioneer, the Farmer, The Electrician, the Cadet. Nice knives and I still carry them depending on what I'm likely to be doing that day. But I really like the recruit for day-in, day-out carry.

Might have to try the Compact though. It has an interesting set of tools.

I carry the Climber in my pocket and the Manager on my key ring. I use the scissors the most, then the can opener and bottle opener.

Had a Rambler on my keys for many years while carrying a Farmer, or a Climber, Spartan, Compact... in my RFP.
During the most recent 5 years or so, it's been an Executive that has accompanied me daily. I pair it with a Bull Nose 71. GEC's answer to Case's Sodbuster.

I've carried a Cybertool 29 (S) for many years now. Bit driver with 4 double side bits. I've swapped one I don't use with a T7/T6 bit. Apart from the always-useful screwdrivers I also have the typical bits to adjust/tighten the Torx screws on most pocket knives. I nearly always carry a pen, but even if I don't the knife has one. Ironically the knife blades are the least used tools on it (apart from the toothpick).

I always carry a Swiss Champ. If for some reason I was to carry a smaller SAK, it most likely would be the S111. At one time or another, I have found a need for every tool on the Swiss Champ. So the chance of me settling for something less is not very high.

O.B.
