Wakizashi id translate japanese short sword

what does this say? year? area? name? ive been looking through translation guides and having trouble figuring this out. this is a very old antique wakizashi sword blade that i bought. i assume you read from the blade down to the tang? i posted pics inverted just in case it makes it easier to read. there is nothing on the other side of the tang.

I think it reads Minamoto Yoshimitsu. Which does not mean much as there were dozens of smiths by that name.

The mei reads Minamoto Yoshinaga, 源吉長.

Many smith's used this combination of characters for Yoshinaga.
 
correct. My error. I was thinking (or not) of Nagamitsu and got the two Kanji mixed up.Sorry.

What translator do you use for translation? I was convinced that if you need translation accuracy, then it is better not to use online translators, but to order services from specialists. I was recommended https://isaccurate.com/italian-translation-services but I'm not sure. I would like to hear feedback or other recommendations. I need to translate my term paper into Italian.

I don't use any. Use to try matching Kanji with Kanji tables - minimal success. Now I post copy of signature in Nihonto Message Board. They have a separate forum for translation help. Get good translation from folks who read Kanji and are very knowledgeable.
 
I read them. Some I have to use the books to help as there were many variations when written. Much like the differences seen in handwriting today, some you read with ease, some make you scratch your head.
