After a while, finally some nice weather

I want to arrive at the small Church

Whit me, the Fallkniven WM1

As you may see is a small fixed blade, the blade length is 71 mm and the blade thickness is 3,5 mm.

The WM1 is a competitor of the Fox Compso, which has similar dimension, but is different in many other ways

So I hope to do a comparison between the two knives really soon.

Coming back to the WM1: cutting this PVC pipe it’s not his cup of tea, the only way is to push strongly on the blade towards the pipe

Let’s to continue, now I’m next to a tiny river

I need a walking stick, my ideal walking stick is 1 inch in diameter, high enough to substain my forearms at 90°, and the handle is scraped, so I may see my walking stick when leaved in the woods

Let’s walking

I like several things about the WM1, one of them is his compactness, I may carry it just in the pocket of my jeans

The sheath is good enough, I don’t like the security system which is non comfortable, but that’s all. Pulling the knife from the sheath it’s easy, due to the protrusion of the sheath

The WM1 could be also carried also as a neck knife

Handling the WM1

The handle is not so long and quite thin, so not the best about the comfort…

…anyway, it’s good enough for all the simple tasks. If you need to do long jobs, gloves are almost mandatory in my opinion

Conclusions: the WM1 is a very good knife, good both as an EDC and an outdoor knife

Ciao,
Alfredo

Nice review!

I've always been interested in getting this model in a blade blank and fashion myself thicker scales. I really dislike thinner handles that compromise comfort for compactness.

Looks like you had a great day. Beautiful scenery. Is trekking through the countryside a popular thing in Italy?

Hello,
thanks for your kind words.
Yes, hiking through the countryside is a very popular activity here. In my living area you may see hundreds of people trekking both around the hills and the Alps. Ciao!

And for good reason, because Italy is a beautiful country.
As for the Fällkniven, I'm sure it's a great little knife, I don't like the handle.
As you said, it's too thin and I think it's kinda ugly too
