Offered is a very unusual Walter Brend Custom Fighter, one of four produced. Made at his Ridge Springs, S.C. shop, during the short-lived crafting of knives at that particular location in the mid-90's. Serial numbered "04" on off-side.
The grinds on this knife are perfection. It is, after all, one of Walter's creations. There are more than a few Brend collectors who consider the blades he produced while at this address the very best of his already iconic body of work.
This fighter has an 8.5" blade, with the spine scalpel sharp for the first 4.5". Deep finger grooves and skull crusher. A big knife, but perfectly balanced, and very fast in the hand. All original, mint, and unused. Black micarta. Comes with it's original black Byrd Leather sheath.
Please DM if you'd like me to try and send better pictures via email. I agree that these ones are heinous, but uploading detailed pics to BF is a chore. (For me, at least.)
$3950. Tri-City Knives had #03 of this Brend model about 4 years ago. It was priced at $5500 on their website. I do not know what it sold for.
The only partial, mint trades I would consider would be a Shirogorov 111 Ti (non-Damascus), a Busse BOSC ID, or a Busse Long Hawkeye.
