If anyone have it, please post some pic's or e-mail to me (johan@jamtport.se). I am especially interested in pic's of the serrations, and comments on their usefullness.

What you see on CNN and FOX and the CENTCOM lies, that's propaganda, what I say are a different view of the same conflict, yet however, noone of you americans so far have been able to use your own brains (if available) and actually question the actions of the US.

Absolutely nothing.

Or perhaps squeeegyman can enlighten us on the obvious link between the Walther P99 knife and gris91/johan's political positions, that we all seem to be missing, as a lack of comprehension on our part, I'm sure.

Or perhaps squeeegyman's sole braincell has ceased functioning. A pity. But he won't be needing a replacement, until he can show responsibility in the use of one.

gris91,

A pic from knifedealer.net if you're talking about the fixed blade version,

The serration pattern looks functional, but I doubt it'll cut as well as some other serrations on the market, like Spyderco's. Perhaps another memeber could comment.

Excuse me for the above comments on the troll, it's customary on the forums that I frequent to flame the trolls before they're banned entirely.

sph3ric pyramid,

The fact is gris91 posted that he laughed when Americans died in the WTC, I think other members have a right to know the way he feels about Americans since the majority of people on these forums are Americans. What country are you from? I think gris91 is a worthless person for the statements he made.

or that the little sh*tbird is still a member in good standing here, I'm amazed that the responses went on past squeeegyman's post...

But, to answer the question, it's commercial knife made by the 'King of the rip-off's' Boker, based on the A/F design...a 'work-around' to deny Mrs. Applegate, and the Applegate estate, due royalties for the design...

How appropriate; a sh*tbird question, about a sh*tbird knife, made by a sh*tbird company, as posted by a sh*tbird...

The irony isn't lost on some...

I'm an American, living in Japan at the moment. I'm just as pissed at the comments gris91 has made, after reading them, as anyone else.

But.

It still has no relevance in the Blade Discussion Forum of bladeforums.com. I come here to discuss bladed objects. Not politics, personal or otherwise. If I wanted to do that, I would go to the Politics forum. gris91 posed a question, just as anyone else might have done, and I believe it deserved to be answered in the same way any other question might be.

And, as you might have noticed, I have a burning hate for trolls. And squeeegyman is by any definition, a troll. Trolls have no place on any forum. But, that's up the m[g]ods.

Not sure who made the knife posted above, but it's definitely not a Boker. The Boker A/F knives all have the Applegate/Fairbairn signatures on the blade, and the handles are much different.

For some reason, I believe our good friends at United Cutlery makes that knife, and I'd steer clear of it.

I tend to avoid knives made by gun companies. (In most cases, they are low quality knock off knife companies who try to use a gun company's reputation to try to make a profit)

I have not heard much about Walther, but if it is Boker, Taylor Cutlery, or United Cutlery, (who are some of the gun co. knife manufacturers), the knife if probably decent but you'd be able to get a better knife for less. The Ontario LSA might fit your needs if you need back edge serrations. It is only around $40. It has 1095 steel; better than 440A. The SOG Pentagon is double edged and fully serrated on one side. You can trust the high quality in SOG's knives. Strider makes some models available with spine serrations as well.

As for the knife itself, the serrations' pattern doesn't mean they won't cut well. If it is ground sharp enough, you should not be able to notice too much of a difference. You have less points of penetration than Spyderco's 3-point type, but you get more scallops so it should cut smoother. I notice this when I use a bread knife to cut rope. The main problem I see is that there is too short length of serrations to be practical. They also aren't cut into a real edge, so I doubt they are fully sharpened. You'd have a hard time actually cutting something rather than tearing it.

Go with the SOG Pentagon if you need a serrated back/double edged knife.
