Long Story short, One of my cats peed on my Rain Poncho while it was out of its sack. Are they hand wash only or can I put it in the washer on delicate? I don't remember if there was a washing instruction tag on it, plus I don't really feel like touching it much lol.

Would be one dead cat.

But seriously you have to be careful washing anything with a rubber backing as you could wash it off or weaken it (make it brittle) using a machine over time.

I hand wash all rubberized kit with a scrub brush and mild soap and warm water.

Good luck getting the smell out.

I prefer dogs.;)

Haha, I would have a dog if I didn't live in a Garage Apartment. Only dog I could comfortably have in my place is a lap dog, no sir lol.

When my dads cat was 18 and having problems using the cat box, my dad used ALOT of white vinegar to get the smell out. So I will do a mixture of mild soap, vinegar and water. Thanks!

There is a product at the pet store called Nature's Miracle a spray. It will remove 100% of the smell. Small bottle is about $8.00. Mandatory you own a bottle with cats. :)

I believe your cat is not neutered? Un-neutered cats have a high probability of doing that.

Try white vinger or lemon with water, put it in a spray gun and apply. Hope it helps.

The are not handwash only and for that matter you need not put it on delicate though I usually do. Just throw it in the machine and let it air dry (not in the dryer). My ponchos have had far worse that cat piss on them...far worse. They have lasted decades.

She is not, Im glad she not a male, because the smell isn't as bad. What pisses me off(no pun intended lol) is that she knows what she is doing is wrong.

Do I want to know? lol

I may try that as well.
