Hi guys

A friend asked me for advice on a watch.

Preferably analog, "clean" looking, long lasting, prefer alarm, glowing hands a plus, under $150 (US). Any suggestions?

Also, are there any real advantages of the Casio G-shock full size over the baby g? Are there any better inexpensive digitals?

Thanks a heap!

James,
Analog and an alarm might be a tough order to fill for under $150. If you can live without the alarm, however, the Luminox Cadet looks pretty clean for about $125. You can see one at:

You can get a good watch that will meet all your friend's requirements for comfortably under $150. In that range I would recommend a Casio rather than one of the higher-end brands.

The practical difference in stamina between a G-Shock and other models is not likely to matter unless you work inside a paint mixer. :)
