A display case full INFI 1:32 in. When he is at the gun range. The old man has good taste. I have yet to encounter a gun shop that stocks Busse's. I might be inclined to never leave a place like that.

Now I'm going to have to watch that again, which was a good movie I might add!!!

Some guys I work with love the Jack Reacher Books. They had a fit when Tom Cruise was selected to play reacher though. Apparently, Reacher is a BIG bad dude and not 5'4"

I just finished 'Bad Luck and Trouble'...not a bad read, tho some technical flaws. In the books, Reacher is decribed as something like 6'5" 250 lbs with massive gorilla like arms and kills (slaughters?) numerous people both with weapons and his bare hands.

That being said, the movie was still pretty decent.

Yep as a fan of the books, I thought cruise was a poor choice...

I am firmly against Cruise as Reached. I've read every one of the Teacher series and it really bothered me when little Tommy was cast as Reacher. But I guess sin e he was the main force behind getting the book to movie form I'll tolerate it. I watched the movie and it was pretty good. I caught the case O Busse to. Which brings the question on why he brought a K bar for Reacher at the end?

ETA if my favorite gun shop also carried Busse knives I would quit my job and live in my car to work the counter part time. They could pay me in bullets and blades.

Tom Cruise playing Reacher is like telling a kid there is on Santa Clause. A BIG Reacher fan.

Yeah lots of little inaccuracies in the movie. Like when he said the cold barrel shot is the least accurate shot. HAHA. Negative. That's why you zero on the CBS, as the groupings get larger as the barrel heats up.

No. You zero on the cold bore shot because that's the shot you are going to take.(as a sniper) Very few snipers get a spotter shot. It is very hard, well time consuming, to get a cold bore zero. One shot. 30 minute wait. Record all the changing conditions and account for them. Take another. See if it hit in the same place. It's stressful. But not the most accurate or least accurate in my xp. If you didn't fire a fouling shit after cleaning it can change your cold bore poi. Lots of little things.
I come from long range competition and this is my take on it. I may be totally wrong.

Physically, yes it can be the least accurate shot because you have no data to go on, and have to calculate the factors, and get your dope right. You can't base your holdover etc. on the last shot. However, as far as the rifle goes, the first "cold barrel" shot will be the most accurate, with tightest group and most predictable repeatable harmonic whip.

On the human side, it's the most difficult shot, but on the machine side, it is the most accurate the rifle will be. He was referring to the machine side of things.

Well yes it is harder to get a smaller group than one shot. :D
It is definitely one of the least accurate shots physically. I'm also not sure that just be sued the barrel is cold its the most accurate but I don't want to derail the thread. Sorry for the tangent.

Havent had a chance to see the movie yet but this has me thinking i need to see it soon.

From just a physical perspective, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman, or Ray Stevensen would probably have made a better Reacher, tho not sure they would have acted any better.

From a blade standpoint, the Busse's had no 'stand-ins' and did all their own stunts.:D

I can't believe I missed that! Geesh....have to fast fwd to that scene. Not a bad movie....but I'll need at least a few years before I can watch it again. Little Tommy is getting harder and harder to pretend as a Big Billy Bad Ass.
