I have used both and voted Wave since the real highlight of the tool is the one handed opening blade, Rebar is really nice tool(considering it as an upgrade to the original PST), but fishing out the blade/tool will require to unfold the pliers each time, it's a mild inconvenience to me. YMMV.

I preferred the rebar for the ability to be slipped into a pocket at need and not pull my pants down.

Great question

I recently sold my rebar to purchase a wave

I like the longer handle of the rebar and many other things is a great tool .. but I did not like the old school stacking of the tools (I bite my nails horrible habit but it made accessing some tools a pain)

The wave is shorter and a bit wider if I remember right , feels smoother and accessing the tools is easier for me ( I do like the mini screwdriver but miss the rebars awl)

The wave feels a bit more refined (tools on the outside easier access for me in inside tools) but the rebar never gives a reason not i feel confident using it and I did like the longer handles

I forgot to mention I can one handed open my wave (for plier use) which I also enjoy!

I like how streamlined the Rebar is when it's closed, but in pliers mode it's not comfortable to use.
That was one my questions about the Rebar and how comfortable the handle would be. That is one of the best things about the Wave is the handle is great and using the pliers is my main use. Thanks for the response.

Wave/Charge/Surge is what you'll find on my belt,or occasionally clipped to my pocket. The easily accessed blades are important to me, yes, but equally important is the exchangeable bit set. I'd only carry a Rebar if I really wanted to travel light, and I wasn't expecting to use it. T-A

Wave all the way. Price difference being about 30 bucks, on the wave you get a far better tool selection, onr handed opening for outside blades, better steel with the 154cm on main blade, replaceable wire cutters, and more tool bit ability.

I rarely carry a multi tool but for the price difference I buy a Rebar for each of my truck drivers and they get USED.

I don’t have a Rebar but I do have the Wave. I really like the Wave and the outside accessible blades and tools. I have the pocket clip on it and it’s always with me and I keep the bit set in my edc organizer. I use it fairly regular and some days more than other days and it is so handy and saves a lot of time going back to the shop tool box or the truck. I started out with the Wingman and I keep it in my pickup for a backup. I occasionally use the knife blades for crappy stuff so I don’t get it on my dedicated good knife so they are kinda redundant but serve as backup. I’ve considered getting the Charge but again I really don’t need upgrade steel blades for backup to my dedicated knife.
