Just purchased my first Buck knife (Buck 124) and I am really impressed. It is really well put together and a classic, timeless design. Even the sheath is quite good. I’m thinking of adding more Buck knives to my collection but wanted to get some opinions on what are the classic, must-have ones. I’m more into fixed blades these days and have more folders than I know what to do with but I’m open to suggestions in both formats. Thanks

The 110 and 119 are probably the most popular models and the most iconic of the Buck knives. If you’re a serious Buck fan or collector you got to have at least one of each.

110 and a 112 are both lockback folders. A 105, 113, 119, and 120 are fixed blades. If you can find a 301, 303, or 307 get them. They are slip joint knives. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Another vote here for the 110 and 119.
However, the 119 is kinda similar to your 124 so let me throw in a wild card to the mix. The 105 Pathfinder is a little shorter and is a very cool knife. Just the right size for most anything you might need to do, and not too bulky or heavy. The thin blade cuts like crazy and it even looks nice. lol

Uh oh, I’m in trouble. That 105 in Cocobolo is making my private parts tingle 😬
