What are your thoughts on the GM ACE BIBLIO? EDC, HardUse, ect. Any hard use reviews? Thanks. Kevin

I think it’s probably a great little cutter. Not sure what a realistic hard use test for a sub 3” bladed folder would look like.

Anybody using this as an edc? Give me some of your thoughts. Thank You! Kevin

I guess this knife is not in use much. I was wanting some feedback from someone who is using this knife regularly. Thank You! Kevin

I've heard a lot about it as a good EDC choice. Maybe not the thinnest in the pocket, but really nice in the hand. As for hard use, I don't think that is it's intended use, but if I remember right it was robust enough the the BladeHQ guys to take camping and do some whittling with in one of their videos.

I just got one a few days ago, and while I haven't put it to much use yet, I have been fiddling a lot with it.

It's pretty good in the hand, I get a 3,75 finger grip on it. My index finger is too fat to comfortably use the choil.

Blade is slicey, with some excellent jimping on the spine.

Wouldn't be the best blade for a Hard use high speed SPEC OPS operator operating operationgly, but it isn't trying to be that.

I've never been that impressed with Viper/Tecnocut knife production. It's not bad, but it's certainly not consistent, and subjectively the lockup feels chintzy — and the knives they make for GM are no different, even after GM's additional QC (if there is any). Quality/consistency issues led Nick Shabazz to deem the entire GM lineup a "waste of time" recently. At least the ACE series is priced more in line with Viper. Personally if I was going to own another Maniago-made knife I'd pick something from Fox or Fantoni.

The Biblio is a great knife. First of all, it has most of the features or qualities I look for in a day-to-day knife: liner lock, Micarta over liners, M390, flipper, full flat grind, simple tip-up pocket clip, full blade shape, contoured scales and in the three-inch range. The fit and finish are flawless. I'm on the fence with forward finger choils however.

Looks like a solid knife, blade design would make a good slicer, handles would fit nicely in the hand...

But who names these things?

Thought I would bump this back up. Any more thoughts. I have one coming tomorrow and I am looking forward to it. Thank You! Kevin

If you have one coming your way already, you will have your own opinion on it soon. For what its worth I own an GM 5, and it has a lot of quality issues, it just sits in a drawer. Hope it helps

Why don’t you send it back to them? Kevin

I contacted them, great customer service, changed all screws, the CF has QC issues and the clip is a pocket destroyer, the one in the biblio solves that, just felt I can get a better knife for the money, thats just my opinion

Carried mine quite a lot in the months after I got it as a partner to a Mora Companion, and I still really like it.

What version are you getting?

It is the natural canvas micarta handles but they have been dyed black. Kevin
Here is one of the pictures he sent me.

Looks great. I have the same one, but not dyed.
