I have a knife posted in the for sale by maker section and another user posted some pics of a different knife that he has in my thread. If it were a gallery post I would not mind but I am trying to sell my knife not his. Is there any way I can remove the pic in question or a way that I can keep my own thread.

I don't think the poster meant any ill will, either not using his noggin, or very excited about his knife. I like both, and would probably search for the other knife while I was researching yours. I reported it to the Mods, once again, I don't think any ill will was meant, but I understand your point. It will either be edited or left alone.
